Privacy Policy
Last updated: 10 June 2026
This policy explains what personal data Felix Research Ltd (“Felix Research”, “we”, “us”) collects when you visit our websites (felixresearch.com and its subdomains) or use Analyst One, why we collect it, and the choices you have. We are a UK company and act as the data controller for the data described here.
The short version: we measure website traffic anonymously without cookies, we only set cookies or run advertising measurement if you agree, your waitlist email is used solely to contact you about Analyst One, and documents you analyse in Analyst One are not kept on our servers or used to train AI models.
1. Data we collect on our websites
Anonymous usage measurement (no consent needed)
We use PostHog, hosted in the European Union, to understand how our marketing pages are used: pages viewed, how far visitors scroll, which links and buttons are clicked, approximate location (country/city derived from IP address), device and browser type, and the campaign a visit came from. In this mode nothing is stored on your device — no cookies and no persistent identifiers — so separate visits are not linked together.
Optional analytics cookies and ad measurement (only with your consent)
If you click “Accept analytics” in our banner, we additionally:
- set a PostHog analytics cookie so we can recognise return visits;
- enable session replay, a recording of how the page was used during your visit (anything you type into forms is masked and never recorded);
- load the Meta (Facebook) Pixel, which shares limited event data (such as page views and waitlist signups, but never your email address) with Meta Platforms to measure the effectiveness of our advertising. Meta processes this data under its own privacy policy.
Declining has no effect on your use of the site, and you can clear your choice at any time by clearing site data in your browser.
Waitlist signups
If you join the Analyst One waitlist we collect your email address. It is stored with our email provider (Resend) on our waitlist contact list and used only to send you a confirmation and to contact you about Analyst One access and launch updates. You can unsubscribe or ask us to delete it at any time.
Security and service logs
Like most websites, our servers process IP addresses to deliver pages, prevent abuse, and apply rate limits. These logs are kept for a short period and are not used to profile you.
Newsletter
The Felix View is hosted on Substack. If you subscribe there, Substack’s own privacy policy applies.
2. Data we collect in Analyst One
Account information
When you create an account we collect your name and email address through our authentication provider, WorkOS. We use this to operate your account, apply usage limits, and contact you about the service.
Your documents
Documents you upload are transmitted to our servers (hosted on AWS in the EU, region eu-west-1) only for processing — for example, text extraction and AI analysis — using temporary storage that is deleted after processing. The results are stored in your own browser, not on our servers. We do not use your documents or outputs to train AI models, and we do not associate document contents with identifiable individuals.
AI processing
Parts of the analysis are performed by third-party AI models accessed through OpenRouter. Requests carry a pseudonymised (hashed) identifier rather than your name or email, and document excerpts are processed only to generate your results.
Usage metrics
We record operational metrics tied to your account (such as pages processed and feature usage) to apply fair-use budgets, monitor reliability, and improve the product.
3. Why we are allowed to process this data
Under UK and EU data protection law, we rely on:
- Consent — for analytics cookies, session replay, the Meta Pixel, and waitlist emails;
- Legitimate interests — for anonymous, cookieless usage measurement, security, and abuse prevention;
- Contract — for processing needed to provide Analyst One to you (accounts, document processing, usage limits).
4. Who we share data with
We never sell your personal data. We share it only with service providers who process it on our behalf:
- PostHog (analytics; data hosted in the EU)
- Resend (email delivery and waitlist contact list)
- WorkOS (account authentication)
- Amazon Web Services (hosting; EU region) and Cloudflare (content delivery)
- OpenRouter and its model providers (AI processing, pseudonymised)
- Meta Platforms (advertising measurement; only with your consent)
Some of these providers are based in the United States. Where data leaves the UK/EU, we rely on recognised safeguards such as the UK and EU–US Data Privacy Frameworks or standard contractual clauses.
5. How long we keep data
- Waitlist emails: until Analyst One launches and a reasonable period after, or until you ask us to delete them;
- Account data: while your account is active;
- Security and server logs: a short rolling period;
- Analytics data: retained in aggregate; anonymous events are not attributable to you.
6. Your rights
If you are in the UK or EU you can ask us to access, correct, delete, or export your personal data, restrict or object to its processing, and withdraw consent at any time. Email hello@felixresearch.com and we will respond within one month. You can also complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office (ico.org.uk) or your local supervisory authority.
If you are a California resident, you have similar rights to know, delete, and correct, and to opt out of the “sharing” of personal information for advertising. Declining our analytics banner (or contacting us) opts you out of the Meta Pixel, which is the only such sharing we do.
7. Cookies and local storage
- felix_marketing_analytics_consent (local storage) — remembers your banner choice;
- PostHog cookie — set only after you accept analytics; recognises return visits;
- Meta Pixel cookies — set only after you accept analytics; used by Meta for ad measurement;
- Sign-in session cookie (Analyst One) — strictly necessary to keep you signed in to the app.
8. Other things you should know
Our services are intended for professional use and are not directed at children under 16. We may update this policy as the product evolves; material changes will be flagged on this page with a new “last updated” date.
